Dennis Way Nicholson is a fan of the TV and related creations of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and their production companies such as Century 21. This is most popularly known as the Supermarionation genre, although their work encompasses a wider variety of media and productions. He is also a fan of Australian movie soundtracks.

Dennis began collecting Anderson memorabilia in 1965; and in 1994, he spoke enthusiastically of collecting:

Show me a collector with EVERYTHING, and I will show you a person with no challenges left.[1]

He edited and produced the fanzine The G.A. Journal (4 issues between January 1980 and March 1982) to highlight the work of Gerry Anderson, utilising photographs and other materials from his own collection.

Memorabilia Guide

In 1994, he produced The Gerry Anderson Memorabilia Guide, a highly detailed catalogue of Anderson memorabilia:

From Twizzle to TODAY!

400 pages containing over 3,000 photographs! Information detailing the many construction kits, models, toys, games, puzzles, apparel, audio visuals, movies, videos, collector cards, publications, confections, and promotional items. Also includes a complete Andersonalia price guide. [2]

This publication also contained a listing of Anderson related fanzines, including his own GA Journal, which lent an air of meta to this project. However, he dedicated this memorabilia guide to others:

To all the fans of Gerry Anderson's many works, whoever you are... wherever you are, this book is dedicated to you... May the Search Continue![3]

Other Works

He also compiled Australian soundtrack recordings 1927-1996: a discography of soundtracks and associated recordings relating to Australian film and television productions published by the Australian Music Centre in Sydney, 1997.

Ten years later, he produced a book for the Stawell Historical Society, called 'Stawell - 50 Years / 1967-2017'
