Why MFU? What is it about the show that fuelled your creativity? From the first show to today, MFU was the only show I went out of my way to watch. The idea of a group of people who fought for world peace no matter what they had to suffer appealed to me. Then at an age where I started noticing men, the two caught my attention. Since that first show, I have searched for channels that offered the show. My creativity continues to be fuelled by the desire to learn more about them and their adventures.
Are you swayed by other’s reactions to your work or have you set a course and stayed upon it? I have learned to accept what others say with a grain of salt. One review almost sent me back into the non-writer category, but the encouragement of others helped me to realize not everyone was going to like what I wrote. Since then I sort through what others have to say, and take each comment for what it is. Many suggestions have helped to shape some of what I have written, and requests for specifics are always taken seriously.
How would you respond to a critic who says, “Oh, you write fan fiction? You’re not a real writer.” Each to their own. I have read many writers of fan fiction who stories are easily better than books I have read.
