Excerpts

Addressing those who wear slash goggles, your opinion on who put those looks/those touches/that lack of personal space in the episodes, the writers or the actors? And, why were those mannerisms put in there?

Truthfully, I think a lot of the lack of personal space had to do with fitting both characters into the frame. TVs were a lot smaller back then. The looks and touches were probably more from the actors. If an actor is someone who touches, like Shatner and, I think, Vaughn, they seem to carry it over to their characters.

Compare and contrast your feelings about Classic Trek and MFU, (or other fandom that you dabble in.)

I'd have to say that Trek will always be home. It was the show I did continue to follow through the years, the characters (especially Spock,) who I continued to think about. Granted, the movies and spin-off programs helped, but it was the fandom that first got me into fandom.

MFU, on the other hand, was a slow re-approachment. I wasn't sure at first if I could 'see' Napoleon and Illya in the new light of adulthood. Or if I would find them as interesting, as compelling, as I had as a young girl. I needn't have worried.

Compare and contrast: writing for paper zines versus writing electronically for the internet.

I'm more comfortable writing for paper zines, probably because that's where I started, but it's becoming less and less an option. I always enjoyed the back-and-forth of the editing process. And I learned a lot. But I'm getting used to posting to the internet. I just replaced the editor with a good beta and carried on.
