Some Comments

In 1998, the editor wrote:

"I edit a zine myself - Dark Circus - which is a Dr Who essay zine, and it occasionally puts out a fiction issue for stories longer than the regular issues can contain. I've found that fiction zines, at least in Australia, tend to be less popular than 'regular' zines as a general rule."[1]

In 1998, a fan wrote:

Dark Circus, one of the all time classic Australian zines, is back! Unfortunately, with its first issue of this second try, it makes a very poor comparison to the original, especially visually (the content is alright, though I hope they follow the original zine’s practice of steering away from fiction and towards articles.) Such are the hazards of relaunching a name! Anyway, issue 2 is now out and I’m assured is much better... [2]
