D🐶GS! The Dai Gyakuten Dogboy Zine is a printable charity zine featuring the characters of The Great Ace Attorney duology as dogboys and doggirls.
About
The new project was announced on September 6, 2023 as a charity zine centered around the cast of The Great Ace Attorney as dogboys and doggirls[1]. The zine would be a black and white printable zine and would permit antho, feral, and kemonomimi. Artist applications opened on September 13, 2023[2]. An open call for applications was also made in Japanese, but the post added that further communications would be done in English[3]. Applications closed on October 6, 2023, and results were sent out on October 8, 2023[4][5].
Orders opened on February 10, 2024, and would closed on March 3, 2024[6]. For $5 USD or above, fans could purchase a printable zine, stickers, emotes, full-color prints, bookmarks, and a papercraft figure. A giveaway for a physical set of zine, merchandise, and a drawing of any character of the winner's choice, was run from February 15 to February 23, 2024[7]. An additional papercraft figurine and a bonus behind the scenes PDF was added over time as extra files.
Over 100 digital copies were distributed, as of a post on March 4, 2024, and an alternate papercraft outfit was added as a bonus[8]. A total of $1100 NZD ($664 USD) was reported to have been donated to Blind Low Vision NZ (Guide Dogs)[9]. A low resolution gallery of the featured artworks is now available on the organizer's website[10].
