Crossroads started out as a private Sentinel list, mainly for people on Senad who felt stifled by the existing list culture.
After Prospect-L was formed in 2000, providing a public space to talk freely about TS, the list focus turned more general, although it stayed private.
During the early-to-mid 2000s, most of the list membership shifted over to livejournal, and Crossroads now drifts aimlessly in the mists of time and legend.
