Connecticut Clark is a character from the webcomic A Flork of Crows. Initially designed as a deliberately boring, "below average" OC, he caught the internet's attention and has remained a popular meme on Tumblr for several years, particularly for his romance with Malfina the Demon Witch.

Clark himself is popular on tumblr and has become an idiom for a type of character with no particularly special or dramatic qualities but who you love anyways. [1] He has also been compared with the Blorbo phenomenon. [2]
People keep tagging this as Connecticut Clark and I honestly didn’t intend to make this Connecticut Clark but I feel like Connecticut Clark’s design encapsulates the concept of “blorbo from my shows” better than any other character design so I’m not complainingthe-irken-pony [2]
However, it was the series of comics depicting Clark and Malefina's romance that most captured the internet's adoration. People seized on the mismatched dynamic with an unassuming partner adoring a powerful, scary partner, the wholesome characterization of their romance, and the jokes about the bizarreness of Connecticut seen in the original comic. The couple were compared to Morticia and Gomez Addams,[3] and similar odd couples from other fandoms. Malfina's character design was also compared to the the big titty goth gf meme popular at the time.
The Clark and Malfina saga has this really fascinating development that goes from “below average 4/10 dude lands a magical other-worldly big titty goth gf” to “reverse-isekai where Malfina is forced to confront and make peace with the unnerving Nightvalian oddities of Connecticut, USA”

Although the comic was first uploaded to Flork of Crows' twitter and subreddit in 2019, the characters went viral on tumblr in 2021 and remain popular on that platform, with memes and fanart being created in 2022.[5] Flork (the artist) continued to post Clark and Malfina comics across 2021.
