The Convention Committee, or concom, is the group of volunteer fans who organise and run a convention.
Conventions are usually owned and managed by a corporation or by a fan club and convention organisers may be paid staff or volunteers.
Some conrunners have been involved in large-scale event organisation for many years and have built up a skill set easily comparable to that in commercial organisations.
