Come Hold the Moon is a club zine of the Imaginative Fiction Society, a science fiction/fantasy writing club based at the University of Victoria in Canada.

The first three issues are very much a club zine, full of in-jokes and minutia, the fourth issue not as much.

The first two issues were titled: "Worlds of I.F.S." Later issues were titled: "Come Hold the Moon."

From the fourth issue: "CHIM is always open to submissions of both text and graphics. We will print anything not libelous, degrading to the human spirit, or intentionally offensive."

About

From v.2 n.1/2:

CHTM is a quarterly publication highly prone to double issues. For those of you who care, the I.F.S. clubzine used be called "Worlds of I.F.S." Two issues were published - in March and August 1984 -- which may be considered volume 1 numbers 1/2 and 2/4. CHTM continues "Worlds of I.F.S.' numbering. There was also a rather feeble newsletter called "What I.F.S....?", whose function has now been combined in this publication, but we keep its paltry few issues at the back of our closets and try not to mention it in polite company.

"Come Hold the Moon" is available for $10.00 per year (Can. or U.S.), $2.50 per issue or $4.95 per double issue. CHTM would much rather be available, however, for trade, contributions, or editorial whim. (i.e., The Usual). CHTM is open to the most poignant and self-debasing of submissions -- though in certain instances, the contributor may have to supply the whip.

From the editorial: There is no cause for immediate panic! Do not become unduly alarmed. When you hear the Zine Raid Siren, proceed quickly and calmly to your Zine Shelter. Carry this publication with you and watch re-runs of Star Trek and Dr. Who until the All Clear sounds. This has been a message from Big Mother. Remember, Big Mama is watching you! Get down, get funky.}}
