Submissions
How to Submit a Story to this SiteAny complete story is welcome so long as it is set in the universe of the film "The Patriot", features Colonel William Tavington in a significant role, and isn't slash. Stories which focus on one of the other British characters from the film are also welcome. (So far, I haven't seen any which don't also feature Tavington, but if I receive any, I'll start a new story list, or otherwise flag them.)
Based on feedback from readers, I'm no longer archiving ASCII format. All stories will be presented in basic HTML format. If you prefer, I can put up a link to a story on your own page instead of storing the material on this site.
To submit a story, please email me, and provide me with the following information:
- The title of the story. [required]
- The author's name as you want it listed. [required]
- Your email address for feedback, if you want us to put up a direct link so readers can contact you.
- The rating of the story. [required, see ratings for an explanation of the categories]
- The story classification. How would you classify your story? Romance? Action/adventure? Character drama? Humor? [see classification for some suggestions]
- A short plot summary (3 or 4 sentences at most). This field isn't required, but readers will appreciate it, if you fill it in!
- Any extra notes you feel are important. (For instance, is the story is a prequel/sequel to another story?)
- Crossovers: Does the story cross into another universe? If so, which one? [required]
Please attach your story to the email in text (preferred) or HTML format. If you have difficulty getting it into a clean text format, email me and we'll discuss alternatives. I'm more than willing to help. Also, make sure to include "Tavington Fan Fiction Submission" or something to that extent in the subject line of the e-mail.
Since I am a member of the Tavington Fanfic list on yahoogroups, I can retrieve your story directly from there, if that is easier.
If you have any questions or problems, contact me. We'll try to work them out.
Please keep in mind that it may take a week or two for your story to appear on the web page!
How to Submit Artwork to this Site
At present, I have no formal guidelines. If you are interested in having your art presented on this site (or an off-site link to your own page), contact me and we'll work something out!
