The editorial:

Well, we did it. We actually did it. We got Chronicles into circulation. Believe us, it wasn't the easiest thing in the world to do, not by a long shot. At times (like every fifteen minutes) we felt like giving it up for a lost cause, but because of all the months of hard work (three months more than we had counted on) and feverish gathering of material, we decided 'what the hell' and plodded onward. You have no idea what a momentous decision that was, nor how much work exactly goes into a zine. But it was all worth it. All the months (eight to be exact) of hard work had finally culminated into a variety of pieces, most of which are contained here, which had to be re-typed, edited, and put into final form ready to be printed.

Then it hit us.

The printing shop (expletive deleted) which had estimated an outrageously low price, told us that they had made an error and that the quote was for only one side of the page to be printed, (wouldn't that frost your expletive deleted?) The estimated price would be nearly tripled. The past few weeks were spent searching frantically for another inexpensive printer who knew what they were talking about and were playing with a full deck (at least partially). Needless to say, we found one. The 'price, however, was still consderably more than the price we had all along been counting on, and which we had advertised in some places. (God, are we losing money on this deal. Chronicles Volume II may cost a wee bit more.) And thereby hangs a tale. But after all the bozo mistakes made by us and others, we finally got it together, and put out this little gem which you're holding in your hot li'l hands.

We hope you enjoy it.

Feel free to send us your comments, criticism, council, and, as it were, sage advice, the address is in the front. Peace and long life, and may Varda shine on your countenance where ever you may journey.
