From the editorial:

I have written and put together this zine, "Celebration of Love," for you and me. To me it is an accumulation of the work I've done celebrating what Beauty and the Beast has meant to me. I feel I have grown along the way as a writer, and as a person. Beauty and the Beauty has touched my soul and has brought out all the love inside of me. The series has become an outlet for my imagination and feelings. Beauty and the Beast is responsible for bringing talented people out into the light, to share a part of who they are with other B&B fans. We're all just different people from all walks of life, who have come together as a family.

Reactions and Reviews

A Classic anthology zine by Gray and friends. Lots of pages, small print, though many pages inexplicably stop short about 2/3 of the way down. In Gray's long (p. 17-136) novelette, “The Silent Song of the Heart,” C is shot while greeting V at her apartment in what was to be their third anniversary celebration. Blinded, she accepts Elliot's offer of hospitality and tutoring while she learns to live with her handicap; Elliot's romantic hopes revive. This story is extremely badly edited and proofread, and the writing style is a bit uncertain at points, as well. Those undistracted by these problems may enjoy this zine more than the reviewer did. Some readers may want to know that Diana appears briefly in a non-romantic context in Gray's novelette. Most of the zine, fiction and poetry, is by Gray. Also fiction by Grey Feather (Catherine encounters V, nude, in the bathing pool, and guess what happens?), and Nora Leverson (an interesting 4th season tale of the love between half-Amerindian tunnel-dweller “Raven” and an Armenian refugee, very pregnant Jaide; note: Diana does not appear), and Jackie Skalski (a tale of a V/C kiss that leads to either G-, PG-, R- or X-rated results, depending on what page the reader chooses to turn to). Art by Michele Sales, Nora Leverson, Skalski, Grey Feather, Gordy Coates, Candy Atchinson, and Art Arteno. The cover, a Leverson picture of Catherine and Elliot, is very fine. [1]
