From the Editorial

The story is originally based on the second season ender "The Best Is Silence" and goes from there into it’s own alternate universe which I am gradually evolving as I write the Atanzi series of novels. The story is as realistic written and drawn as I can make it. Do be forewarned that there is nudity, here and there, but hopefully, tastefully done and not X-rated.

1 am not a real comic book artist, although it has been one of my lifelong ambitions. I am an illustrator so if it doesn't have the zip and action of a real comic book —sorry— I’m still learning as I go along, which also explains the variety of rendering styles as I’ve tried to find the best ways and means to make the art come out the way I wanted.

I started this story after the second season ender, but couldn't finish it due to other work and losing the thread of the story. Recently, the whole story fell together and I finally I got the entire thing plotted out. Now comes the drawing, dialogue, and inking it all. Doesn't sound like much but producing a comic book from scratch is a lot of work if you are doing everything involved with its production with no help.

Most comics have someone do the writing of the story, with a blow by blow script that lays it out, another person does the pencils roughs, then another does the inking over the pencils and someone else does the lettering. I have to do it all so it takes a little longer to get each section out baring distractions and family obligations.

Caverns of the Darkest Night will publish "Death Shall Have No Dominion," as two books — Book One — Parts I to IV, and Book Three -- Parts V to VIII. Book Two will contain the complete "Moonshadow," story which is almost ready for publication except for inking. After that I am not sure.

My only wish is that I could do this in color or have an independent pick this up as a real comic book and not just a fanzine, though as a fanzine I can be a lot more liberal with the story lines and the art than if I was having to work under someone's guidelines and restrictions.
