Case of Xigbar is a zine dedicated to the character Xigbar (also known as Braig and Luxu) from the Kingdom Hearts games.
About
Interest checks opened on March 22 through April 12, 2021[1]. The zine would be for-profit and digital with physical merchandise[2]. In the project's interest check results, charms and sticker sheets were the most requested physical merchandise, phone backgrounds and Discord emojis were the most requested digital merchandise, and a large majority of responses were interested in an audiobook add-on[3]. Applications for artists, writers, and voice actors ran from May 3 to May 24, 2021[4].
Preorders opened on November 12, 2021, with the following pricing tiers[5]:
- Stand-Alone ($5 USD) - Phone Wallpaper, Discord Emotes, Icons, Bonus Fic
- Double-Tap ($15 USD) - Digital Zine, Digital Merch
- Sharpshooter ($25 USD) - Die-Cut Stickers, Sticker Sheet, Print, Bookmark, Digital Merch
- No Name ($35 USD) - Digital Zine, Die-Cut Stickers, Sticker Sheet, Print, Bookmark, Digital Merch
Stretch goals included washi tape at 15 sales, an acrylic charm at 25 sales, and a physical print of the zine cover at 35 sales[6]. Preorders closed on December 3, 2021[7].
Physical orders began shipping approximately April 12, 2022[8]. All orders were shipped out by April 23, 2022[9], and digital zines were sent out by email the next day[10].
Second sales of the remaining physical merchandise was run from May 1 to May 22, 2022[11].
