Author's Preface
From the zine:
Perhaps I should begin with a bit of history. I have been an on-again, off-again VICE fan from the start. I missed a lot of episodes due to hectic college schedules and part-time summer work, but thanks to USA Network, I've been able to catch up with reruns. 1didn't know there was a fandom for VICE until I met a young lady who attended media conventions on a regular basis. She had just gotten back into the series herself, and we found we shared a common lust for a certain specific pairing of two of that show's characters.
Whereas once I was a Crockett and Tubbs aficionado, I began paying more attention to the relationship between Crockett and Castillo. I found it interesting how those two men seemed to share a special yet mysterious 'link' with one another, and how they practically smouldered whenever playing off one another.
Shortly thereafter, I discovered Mkashef Press' DYAD. It was there that I read my first Crockett/Castillo fiction, and I was hooked. This was exactly what I had seen between those two men! I was thrilled to find out more people believed equally.
Since then, I have written several short stories of this nature, but this is something very new to me. This is my first MIAMI VICE novella, so I'm pretty nervous about it! I hope it will be enjoyable, on the whole.
