Carrot Kuvira was a Tumblr meme associated with the character Kuvira from The Legend of Korra. The meme started after a particular post by lokgifsandmusings, in which they shared a stock image of a businessman holding a bunch of carrots with the caption "The Great Motivator", ^{Archived version}, a reference to the 'carrot and stick' style of motivation. Fans of Kuvira, who is also known in canon under the title "The Great Uniter", started posting fanart and manips of Kuvira eating carrots, growing them, or dressed as a carrot. There was also a smaller subsection of Kuvira fans that drew her with pumpkins.

Tumblr user kuviratrashings was the first to suggest Kuvira as "the carrot guy", ^{Archived version}.
