Bumlets, played by Dominic Lucero, is a Manhattan newsboy from Newsies. He has historically been a fan favorite, with many old sites dedicated to him, especially after Lucero's death. He only appeared in the film and very little is known about his character, so his portrayals are based entirely on fanon.[1]

Bumlets carries a tall stick in many scenes, which some fans compare to a cane. He is portrayed as very caring, with background shots where he carries Boots and helps Slider used as evidence.[2]
