Brick House is an Supernatural vid by deirdre_c. It was reviewed by yourlibrarian at the Vid Commentary LJ community on July 18, 2010. The vid is an homage to Sam and Dean Winchester's relationship with the Impala.

Vidder's Summary: "She's mighty mighty, just lettin' it all hang out."

Vid Commentary: "The song "Brick House" is an unabashed ode to feminine ideals back in the day when speaking of a woman's beauty and sex appeal didn't also seem to go hand in hand with degrading the entire sex. For purposes of the SPN verse, this song is pretty fitting because it comes from the same pre-1985 portfolio as the show's classic rock soundtrack. And for the purpose of a light and fun vid, it's also a great party tune."[1]

Reactions/Reviews

  • "This is so awesome. Parts were just so fun and warm, and others felt like car porn."[2]
  • "QUEEE FOREVVVVVVVVVER. IMPALA PWNS ALL. I LOVE HER AND YOU. SHE WINKS AT YOU IN THE LAST SHOT OMG OMG OMG OMG Also the reflections were hurty and awesome because I believe those are moments when the boys are questioning who/where they are." [3]
  • "So when I saw that you had made an Impala vid I actually doubted if I would be able to watch anything 5.22 related and heartbreaking without dehydrating myself, but then I saw the title and thought it would be a jolly time. And it was! I laughed out loud, and smiled a lot. :D But I may have also teared up a little. It happens automatically with the car now! Watching S6 is going to be hard if I cry everytime the Impala comes onscreen, but I think I'm just going to have to struggle through." [4]
  • "Awesome homage to our favorite vehicle! The wink at the end was priceless."[5]
