It is one of the earliest Yuri!!! on Ice fanzines, created during the show's initial airing. The zine garnered popularity within the fandom with over 400 artwork applications.[1]
Zine reception
Couldn’t wish for a more beautiful zine! Congrats and thank you to everyone who participated (and specially the organisers!) ❤❤❤[2]
I’ve received so many Zine’s in the past few weeks. It’s great! XD I ordered this one back in April. It’s 5 ½ in. x 8 ½ in., so a medium sized book. It’s a fairly thick book too (I think about 50+ pages) with a lot of artists. I’m not a fan of all the art though. I’d say it’s about 70/30 with 70% love the art. The binding is also a bit tight on it, so it’s hard to peruse. There are some super great artists in this though and the print is great quality. Overall, I still love this zine.[3]
That is, until today, when I got the @born-to-make-history-zine in the mail. Seeing so much enchanting, loving art in one place inspired me in a way I never thought I’d be inspired again. It gave me the passion, the bravery to sit down and open the half-finished final chapter. It made me a *hopeful* romantic again. It gave my writing back to me. So thank you so much to the people who organized and contributed to this wonderful zine. I will cherish it forever. Now, back to writing. It’s time to finish this damn thing[4]
