The Big Two refers to the two biggest U.S.A. publishers of comic books: DC Comics and Marvel Comics.
Because of the Big Two dominating the U.S.A. comics market, comics have effectively become synonymous with the superhero genre in U.S.A. culture, despite the versatility of the comics medium.
DC fans and Marvel fans have a famous long-running rivalry about which shared superhero universe is superior.
