From the Editorial
Thank you purchasing "Beginnings" and I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as Diane and I enjoy enjoyed writing it. The story was born one day when Diane, who is a Trekkie from the word go, and I were joking around about writing a story together, and what that story would be. We decided that a cross-over story between "Star Trek" and "Beauty and the Beast" would be really interesting. We spent the next few hours fleshing out a storyline. Not wanting to give anything away before you've had a chance to read this, but the story nearly wrote itself after Diane told me about one of her favorite "Star Trek" stories called Uhura's Song. Thus began the writing. We have tried to stay loyal to both "Star Trek" and "Beauty and the Beast" characters. We would really enjoy hearing your comments to see if we "hit the mark" or not. So, sit back, relax, and let us take you "where no one has gone before." -- Dianne Mann
