Barbara Green Deer was a fan writer, editor, and fanzine publisher. She was also later (1987) on staff at a Dungeons and Dragons zine called Dungeon Adventures, and "helped out" with Dragon Magazine and Amazing Stories. "When I was hired at TSR, the thing that impressed them the most was the copy of Skywalker 6 I submitted with my resume, so there's hope for fan editors to break it into the big time, just as I have been nagging fan writers and artists to do so."
