AnimeCTX (previously Anime Overload) is an annual three-day summer convention focused on anime, manga, and related pop culture. "CTX" is a common shorthand meaning "central Texas", as the convention is held in the North Austin/Round Rock area.
History
The first Anime Overload was in 2009.[1] In early 2017 it was announced that the convention was undergoing a revamp, including the name change to AnimeCTX.[2]
AnimeCTX 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3] AS of January 2024, another con has not been scheduled.
