Anh Trai Vượt Ngàn Chông Gai is a Vietnamese reality show (a survival show) where 33 male celebrities compete to form a 17-member performance group.
It's the first majority Vietnamese fandom on AO3 with over 400 fic all written in Vietnamese.
Fandom Overview
The fandom is most active on threads, Wattpad and Facebook. It is a phenomenon in Vietnamese fandom circles as the show attracts a wide variety of audiences in several different demographic: Manga Anime fans, K-Pop fans, C-biz fans, gamer fans etc.
Fans typically call the staff and crews of the show "Gai Mẹ", and themselves "Gai Con". The show has been praised for supporting its fans to the point of almost spoiling them.[1]
