Reactions and Reviews
Another after-the-revolution political-Blake story, but I liked this one rather better than "To the Victor." I may not quite be able to buy the possibility of Avon and Blake living together in PGP domestic harmony, but it is a nice thought, and they're still quite recognizably *themselves* here and it certainly doesn't get treacly.[1]
This is the other fic I referred to in the earlier Avon as president fic. This time Deva's the president (hooray!) and Blake and Avon are both advisors, but Blake is forced to resign in the first scene. It's not only about politics - it is also domestic PGP. I should love it, but the way Avon and Deva think about Blake makes me very angry, and the way they think about him is what the fic is about so there's no getting away from it.[2]
