This story is so great because it illustrates perfectly Scullys need to be the one the pulls Mulder back from the edge, in the movie Scully said she hold him back, this shows that its more, as Mulder said, that she makes him whole and she saves him. (Even though i mention the movie in the summary this is not a post movie story:)).[1]
