A Patient Outlook is a 102-page Star Trek: TOS/M*A*S*H* crossover novel by P.E. Kinlock. The art is by Su Fine.
This story first appeared in Diverse Dimensions and The Off-World Connection.
Author's Note: "This story is the direct result of a "what if...?' scenario—what if Dr. McCoy met Dr. Pierce? Major Moulihan? What if Captain Kirk met Colonel Potter? Or Corporal Klinger met Mr. Spock (would it change history, or take history?!) The plot can best be summed up as "If a Doctor meets a Doctor coming through the sky."
Summary: A sudden energy surge as McCoy is being transported lands him right in the middle of the Korean War as a patient in the '4077' MASH Unit.
