Seven Kingdoms: The Princess Problem is a visual novel.
Canon
In a world with 7 kingdoms on the brink of war, a summit with political representatives from each kingdom meets every seven years to form political alliances and marriages. Playing as a character with one of 6 backgrounds (with 3 secret backgrounds), your character makes choices that will affect her future and the world.
Game Development
A Kickstarter was developed for this game. The game is programmed and written by one person, with art being done by artist Bana. The game is not yet finished, but an extended demo is available on the forums. Alpha backers on the Kickstarter have access to a further build.
Interaction with Fandom
The most active fan presence is on Tumblr. The developer used to have an active Tumblr presence and would answer asks about the world, characters and backgrounds. There have been several 7KPP weeks spawning art, fic and edits. The fandom has put together extensive walkthroughs for romancing the various love interests.
There is also a Discord channel and forums for the game.
There was some wank about lack of updates on kickstarter.
A common form of fanwork would be using dollmakers to create the OCs of the player.
