Noah/Owen, mostly known as Nowen, is a popular pairing within Total Drama fandom. The ship is between Noah and Owen, both prominent characters. Although Noah and Owen's friendship could be seen as early as 2007, it was only after their Laurel and Hardy-esque dynamic in 2010, during World Tour, that the ship got traction in Slash circles. This popularity caused some light Ship War between Noah/Owen and Duncan/Noah shippers. Both got popular around the same time, though Duncan/Noah was first.
Noah/Owen gained popularity across the entirety of Total Drama fandom after they were teammates during The Ridonculous Race as "the Reality TV Pros." Although their time on that show ended with Noah being Emma's boyfriend, many fans saw ship potential between Noah and Owen. This popularity caused ship war between Emma/Noah and Owen/Noah shippers. To add fuel to the flames, Noah's canon implied sexuality, (see, queercoding,) is and was contested at the time. Shippers of Noah/Owen may be more likely than any other group of Total Drama fans to claim that it was against Noah's character to end up in a Heterosexual relationship.
Noah/Owen is Owen's most common ship and Noah's third, after Cody/Noah and Alejandro/Noah. As of October 2023, over 105 works on Archive of Our Own are of Noah/Owen.
Common Tropes
- "Reality TV Pros": Their duo name in The Ridonculous Race.
- Matchmakers Izzy and Eva: Eva and Izzy from Team E-Scope may help either Noah or Owen ask the other out.
- Realization of Feelings: As with many friends to lovers pairings.
- Future Fanworks: Many fanworks for the pairing take place after Total Drama ends. Although this is a common trope for TD fanworks, only for Noah/Owen is this somewhat based in canon.
- Beary: Beary is a stuffed bear Owen holds to help overcome his fear of flying during The Ridonculous Race. Fans may joke that this is their son.
- Fix-it: Many fans were disappointed that their friendship in World Tour didn't translate exactly to Ridonculous. In the latter, Noah's often mean to Owen. Fanworks may make Noah endeared by Owen's eccentricities rather than annoyed by them.
- Opposites Attract: Owen's cheery and naive. Noah's deadpan and sassy.
- Height Difference: Owen's taller, Noah's shorter. Very much Big Guy, Little Guy.

Ripper, their Male Chauvinist Official Lovechild?
After the unveil of Total Drama: Island (2023)'s cast, Ripper struck out to some fans as a new contestant who looked like a Noah/Owen lovechild.
Further adding to this joke fan theory was the reveal of Ripper's name. Because Noah was eliminated in World Tour after capturing Jack the Ripper, leaving Owen without Noah the rest of the season, fans may joke that they bonded over this moment so much, realizing their feelings for each other, that they decided to name their son Ripper to commemorate it. Either that, or Owen wanted to make a fart joke and Noah simply didn't catch on.
