Yes! Precure 5 ran from 2007 to 2008, and was part of the third generation of Precure. It ran for 49 episodes. The series' motifs are butterflies and emotions. This is the first series to include a mixed-race Cure on the main team, with Cure Lemonade being half-French. This series is a radical departure from the past several seasons, featuring five Cures that can transform individually rather than having two Cures that need to transform and attack together.

Fandom
Shipping
Yes! Precure 5 features one of the most controversial ships in the Precure franchise. Cure Dream/Coco, or 'NozoCoco', is canon in the show but disliked in fandom due to the teacher-student dynamic in the relationship and an age gap (teenager/adult).
Other ships in Yes! Precure 5 include Cure Rouge/Cure Aqua, which features a rivals to lovers dynamic that fans can play around with. Other popular ships include: Cure Dream/Milky Rose, Cure Mint/Natts, Cure Lemonade/Syrup.
