A voice tape is a recorded message from an actor meant to be played at a con he or she is unable to attend. It is a term from the 1970s, perhaps 1980s, and may be a British term.

Examples of Use

  • "William Shatner has promised us a voice tape for the convention, which we will relay to all members. and hope to auction afterwards in aid of charity." [1]
