From "About Me"

Who is this viciouswishes person?

I'm a fannish person who enjoys a variety of fandoms, characters, pairings, and other fun stuff. I'm a West Coast woman who's both laid-back and a control freak. Go figure. I love books, writing, animals, and the desert. I started this web site a place to store my fanfic written between 2003-now, and it has expanded to cover other fannish stuff.

How did you get into fandom?

My mother got me addicted to Star Trek: TNG when I was four-years-old. She also introduced me to due South and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, among other things. So far, I've addicted her to Firefly and House. I also pick up fandoms from various friends. My heterosexual life partner Lornelover has successfully converted me to Stargate: Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica.

How long have you been reading/writing fic?

I started reading Star Trek tie-in novels when I was eight-years-old and from there it was downhill. My first fanfic featured my Mary Sue who married Geordi LaForge. I'm sure my mom keeps it in a box somewhere, but it's not going to be put here.

How do I get on your recs lists?

I'm open to reading pretty much everything in my fandoms. My recs list is made up of things I've enjoyed, which I consider of some quality. You can always send me an e-mail with a link. I can't guarantee I'll like it, but I can say that I will at least try it.

I have a livejournal too. Can I add you to my flist?

Of course. I can't say that I'll necessarily friend you back, but I'll check out your journal. I don't mind people reading and commenting on my journal that I don't have friended back.

What's your general fandom attitude?

Everything is overrated, especially in fandom. I reserve the right to make fun of and be critical of the shows, characters, and writers that I enjoy. If I was John Sheppard, I'd spent my day time hours boosting my ego by reading fanfic about myself and my sexual prowess. [1]
