According to Wikipedia, the Library of Congress (LC) "is the research library that officially serves the United States Congress and is the de facto national library of the United States."[1]

National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is part of LC.

The United States Copyright Office is also part of the library, and the Librarian of Congress is responsible for deciding on DMCA exemptions every three years. See Test Suite of Fair Use Vids.

Fannish Holdings

The Library of Congress collects zines. Although the majority appear to be artifacts of non-fannish subcultures, the library has a collection of first-edition science fiction fanzines.[2] Also check out their list of Zine Directories (zines that consist of lists of zines). A search of the catalog shows 287 zines.[3]

The Library of Congress also holds many digital collections, including web archives of Fanlore[4] and AO3[5].
