Summary

Romance, hot sex, and conflict all play out in this novel celebrating the relationship between the gorgeous Mountie and the sensuous Italian. They finally come out of the closet (not the one in the Precinct!) and not everyone is thrilled.

Author's Notes

Well, it's taken a lot of writing, but here it is: The Finished Product. I had a wonderful time writing this story, and I hope you'll have a good time reading it. Benny and Ray are SO easy to write!

THE STAR OF PALERMO is the first in a series of novels I plan to pen in the next few years. There are threads from this novel that I want to pick up and elaborate on, and there will be original characters that I want to try my hand at.

I tried for a balance of romance, hot sex, and conflict for this first DUE SOUTH novel. Hopefully I achieved it. Let me know with a LOC, and also let me know what name you would like to publish under and if you want to include your address. I will consider all comments to me eligible for publication unless specifically requested not to do so. Since I'm hoping to do a series of novels, I'd like to do a LOC page and let readers coming in later get an idea of what's gone before.

A word about the illos: first a big *THANK YOU KINDLY* to Anja for her fine work and putting up with all my requests for changes.

And then there's the illo of Ray sitting by the window while Benny sleeps. After I saw it I realized that I hadn't written in the text that OFC was wearing a robe. I was going to ask Anja to put a robe on the boy when I decided that I liked him this way much better I :) So I ask you to suspend disbelief (like even our naughty Ray would sit in front of a window stark naked!) and just enjoy the illustration. If you *must* be proper, draw in your own robe!

As for the Halloween chapters: WITCHCRAFT MADE ME DO IT!!!

If this novel suits you and you would like to receive information about the sequel when it's ready (probably some time in '98 if I get my new computer) then drop me a line and I'll file your name. Anja has graciously consented to illo my next novel as well.

I've never seen a show take fandom (and especially, slash fandom) by storm like this one. I knew when I saw the Pilot when it first aired that these two were a couple. They just got better and better!

With any luck, so will the novels!
