Severus Snape Fuh-Q-Fest Archive was the archive for the Severus Snape Fuh-Q-Fest, which ran from March 2002 to August 2003.
The archive exclusively archived all fest stories for approximately a month after each fest wave ended; after that time authors were free to post their stories elsewhere. Beginning in July 2002, the archive also hosted fanart inspired by stories written for the fest.
In total, the archive hosted over 500 stories written for the three waves of the fest.
The archive proudly holds the collected works of Fest authors. The third wave, like the first two waves of the Fest, produced a large collection of stories which vary greatly in genre, theme and length, by authors ranging from well-known, prolific writers to those trying their hand at writing slash in this fandom for the first time.[1]
History
The archive was originally hosted at sockiipress.org. The website was created by Luthien and used graphics by AusMac. Luthien noted in May 2002 that the archive received "well over 15,000 hits in less than two months."[2]
A GeoCities site was used as a temporary mirror archive when sockiipress.org was down, and as a warning page gateway to the sockiipress.org site. The site moved to Luthien's new domain at ebonyx.org in October 2003.[3] It was taken offline temporarily in April 2005, and returned in February 2006 at quasi-evil.net, Niuserre's website.[4]
The site went offline sometime between 2013 and 2016. Updates to the archive were posted at the SnapeFF_update Yahoo! group.
