The Empyrean is a book series by Rebecca Yarros. As of early 2024 it has two books, Fourth Wing and Iron Flame (both published 2023).
It is often held up as a defining example of the Romantasy genre, along with the works of Sarah J. Maas.

The author has stated that Violet canonically has Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, though it is not named in the novels.
