Countryballs or Polandball is a fandom that grew out of the comics of Falco on Krautchan.net. It's grown into an entire style or medium, and has developed its own lore, characterizations, and rules. There are several separate communities across different platforms with their own norms, which are not necessarily friendly with eachother. The comics and the memes based on them include countries personified as imperfectly shaped balls coloured with their respective flags. They poke fun at history, international relations and national stereotypes. The countries often speak with broken English. One of the most common catchphrases in Countryballs is "Poland cannot into space".
