A lettercol is a section in a print zine or a comic book where fans' LoCs were printed. According to Brave New Words, the term antedates 1958.
Use in Comic Books
The editor usually used the Letter Column to write an introduction to the current issue, Story Arc or some Behind the Scene news. Often TPTB also use the place to reply to questions raised or concerns raised by the readers.
