Doujin Yougo no Kisochishiki (同人用語の基礎知識, basic knowledge of doujin terms) is a Fanspeak glossary in Japanese. Originally founded in 1995 by users of NIFTY Serve[1], [1] a pre-internet online forum, it describes terms from that era and more recent Japanese slangs used by the doujin fandoms and beyond. The website itself is a work by Paradise Army, a doujin circle.[3]
The title seems to allude to non-fannish reference works in Japanese such as Gendai Yougo no Kiso Chishiki (現代用語の基礎知識, basic knowledge of modern terms, 1948-) and older websites such as Tsushin Yougo no Kiso Chishiki (通信用語の基礎知識, basic knowledge of networking terms, 1995-).
It was also published as a book in 2004 under the title Doujin Yougo Jiten (同人用語辞典, dictionary of doujin terms). [4]
