Q: Who is your favorite regular character (regular or guest star) on the classic "Star Trek"? A: Before I even saw the show, it was Uhura, just because I heard that she was a woman. When I first started watching, I liked Sulu best. Later it was Spock, Kirk, McCoy, and back again. Now I have to say, I love them all. Favorite guest: Harry Mudd!
Q: Who is your favorite Brent Spiner character, outside of Next Generation? A: I'd have to say that even though the character was kind of a jerk (well, he was a lawyer), I LOVED the way Brent portrayed Hinnerman on "Crime of Innocence". And besides, it was the first time I saw him in something other than Trek after I became interested in his work and it was a purely serendipitous discovery! I loved most of his other appearances (except maybe for the "Mama's Family" episodes...), and especially Bob Wheeler, Larry Stein, Leonard Junger, Ken McMahon, Reverend Peabody, Franz/Dennis, etc., etc., etc.
Q: Do you have any comments/suggestions for The Body Electric? A: I'd like to take some time (which I generally have precious little of) to apologize to some people out there who have corresponded with me and have had to wait foo long for a response. It's been my personal experience that some editors never (or hardly ever) respond to letters sent to them, so I guess I'm not doing all that bad... I don't have a staff to answer letters for me, unfortunately. I work very much on my own, although I do have one good buddy in New York (and she knows who she is) who has helped me immeasurably with the content of the zine itself. I am also sorry for the long wait between issues of TBE. You know, I could do so much more if only my personal and professional life didn't keep interfering! Ah, well... Hang in there, readers! I haven't given up yet. This magazine is my dream and, in the immortal words of Don Quixote, "To dream the impossible dream...."
