"Albert Eats Glass" is a popular meme in the Broadway Newsies fandom. It was primarily circulated on Tumblr beginning in late 2018[1] and experienced multiple revivals. User starrysence made the original joke on November 15, 2018, under the username fameworks-quicker, sharing a vine which suggests eating a glass bottle instead of recycling it.[2] The original post received over a thousand notes, but some users expressed discomfort with it, including starrysence on a later date.[3] It experienced one resurgence in June 2019 on stan Twitter.[4]
