Justice League vs. Teen Titans is a 2016 direct-to-video animated superhero film featuring the DC Comics Justice League and Teen Titans characters. It is part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies.

Canon

Robin is sent to work with the Teen Titans after his volatile behavior botches up a Justice League mission. The Titans must then step up to face Trigon after he possesses the League and threatens to conquer the world.

The fandom behind the film is fairly small - fanfiction is mainly posted to Archive of Our Own.[1] Discussions and fanworks such as fanart or animated gifs mainly appear on Tumblr. This might be due the mixed reviews by fans watching it, although most can agree on a few things: the lack of continuity/characterization or understanding of what the DCUOAM are going for (TT existing without Cyborg; Starfire and Nightwing was a part of TT in the past but those characters are aged up compared to Raven and Beast Boy), Damian Wayne as a main character (and a member of TT who had never been part of the team in the comics), and the lack of JL vs TT action that happened in the film (a few believe they added the JL title to entice more people to buy it). Despite the reservations, many enjoyed the shout-outs to the Teen Titans animated series.

Starfire's role as the mentor for the Teen Titans was mainly praised by fans. Most found her costume change amusing since it basically an Magical Girl Transformation/Sailor Moon transformation scene[2] which actually used by all of the Titans.[3]

Terra fans were excited to see her post-credits appearance.

The Raven/Damian pairing caused a little stirring of tensions, some original fans of Raven/Robin do not like the idea of the two together or the idea of fans of Raven/Damian using "Robrae" as the ship name.
