Ishida x Ishimaru, most known as Ishiishi and/or Ishicest, is a rarepair within Dangan Ronpa fandom. The ship is between Kiyotaka Ishimaru and Kiyondo Ishida. Ishida is another form of Ishimaru, explained more on his Fanlore article. It has been shipped since Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was released in 2010, primarily by Japanese-speaking DR fandom.

They currently do not have a wrangled tag on Archive of Our Own, though many works for this pairing can be seen on Pixiv.

• Butter Play: It's hard to explain, but it has to do with Mondo Oowada turning into butter when he was executed by Monokuma.
