Clexa Week is a fanweek, prompt-based challenge dedicated to the The 100 pairing of Clexa (aka Clarke Griffin and Lexa). Multiple types of fanworks are accepted, including fanfiction, fanart, gif sets, aesthetic edits, fanvids and fanmixes. The prompts are voted on by the fandom.

Clexa Week is a time when authors and artists, readers and fans all put on their war paint. We create new content for Clexakru and for Clexa. We comment, encourage and provide support for one another. It's not about Lexa's death, it's about the ways we bring her to life, and there is no better revenge for her weak, terrible death than to bring her back to life and reincarnate her again and again every day, paying tribute to our Commander who deserved so much better, and celebrating the epic love story of the girl in the sky falling for the leader of the ground.
Background
dreamsaremywords started Clexa Week in 2017 as a way to create and foster positivity in the fandom on the week of Lexa's death anniversary (March 3).[1]

Can you believe Clexakru is so iconic
LOL guys, I went through and added up the word count for all the fics produced for Clexaweek...this is on ao3 only so NOT counting all the fics posted on Tumblr, and I didn't count fics that existed beforehand (a couple could have snuck through but I think I left them all out; some clexaweek fics were people recommending their old fics/their favorite fics), so this is a rough estimate, but....
ALMOST 500,000 WORDS. I didn't even suggest Clexaweek until the beginning of February. We didn't vote and finalize the themes until a week or two later. We basically had less than 20 days.
CLEXAKRU PRODUCED NEARLY 500,000 WORDS IN ONE WEEK. WITH LESS THAN 20 DAYS NOTICE BEFOREHAND.
THAT IS INSANE. TOGETHER WE WROTE MORE THAN THE ENTIRE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY. WE WROTE MORE THAN THE FIRST 4 HARRY POTTER BOOKS.

Hahaha so listen, if you're ever worried that our fandom is shrinking, never fear.
Last year for Clexaweek2017 (NOT counting Clexahalloweenweek) we had around 500,00 words total for fic and 46 new Clexa art pieces.
This year for Clexa2018, we have 661,626 words total for fic and 92 new works of fanart. Those numbers may grow because I only just finished the masterlist and I'm sure there are works missing from there.
We posted nearly 700,000 words and nearly 100 new works of art all in one week.
We're lextra af and here to stay. Clexaweek feels like a family reunion- no matter how busy life gets or other fandoms we may gravitate to, we'll always travel back home to come together
(*cough* literally this year on Day 4 for the majority of us *cough*)celebrate Clexa. :)Lexa lives on!

Hi um yeah I just wanted to say thanks for the whole clexa week, none of my friends really understand why Lexa meant so much to me and it's been so relieving to come on tumblr this week and just escape my life and focus on Clarke and Lexa and just everything that everyone's given to this fandom. So thanks for making it all possible and starting it all. I miss her so much[5]
I'm so happy we did Clexaweek. I can't imagine how depressing and devastating this day would have been if I didn't have all the amazing new content and encouragement and salt to look through when I open this app. Thank you all so much

Just wanted to say thank you for organising clexa week! I haven't written anything in a very long time and it was refreshing to have a reason to write again and some deadlines to work towards. I'm hoping that I'll now feel inspired to continue writing more Clexa stuff![7]

thank you so much to everyone who wrote, ive read some amazing pieces and i absolutely love this fandom for the resilience and strength we have. 3 years may be a long time but we will never forget this legend.
I just wanted to drop in and say thank you so much for still organising clexa week and being passionate about it even three years later! I started college this week and having this to concentrate made it so much easier to made it so much easier to take my mind off the first day jitters! It’s also comforting to be reminded that I’m not the only one stubbornly going down with this ship, lol[11]
