The Show That Never Ends is a Harry Potter story by Lori Summers.

It has fifteen chapters.

It was second part of a trilogy: Paradigm of Uncertainty, The Show That Never Ends and The Hero with a Thousand Faces.

The story was serialized at ParadigmOfUncertainty, a mailing list begun by Lori for her stories and the stories of a few other fans, including Cassandra Claire.

Author's Notes

To the first chapter: "This story is a sequel to "Harry Potter and the Paradigm of Uncertainty." Please read that story first before beginning this one. Temporal Note: This story involves a great many flashbacks and jumping back and forth in time. I've put dates on all the relevant sections, so keep those dates in mind as you read. For reference, Paradigm of Uncertainty ended in late August/early September 2007. Random Accent Note: I have not attempted to convey Napoleon Jones' Cockney accent in writing. It was just becoming too much of a pain. Use your imagination. :-)" [1]}}

Reactions and Reviews

I am putting in a bit of a spoiler space, as it seems I am the first to write about chapter 1 of The Show That Never Ends.

"Well? What do you think?"

How can you do such a thing to us Lori? I get up early (early for a student at least) and find out that Harry has gone missing. I am now going to be in a state of suspense and despair for ages, until I find out what you are up to!

"God knows he's got a John Thomas that could make you believe in a higher power..."

I simply do not know what to say about this. Probably LOL is the best option!

"By the way, thanks to Penny. I pitched her the original idea for this story, in which Harry had been missing for a whole year. She said that was way too long. I fought it initially but she was absolutely correct." 1 year and I think Hermione would have given him up for dead, two months is a length of time where it still affects Hermione greatly but people around her seem to be getting back to some semblance of normal life. [2]

Oh, I am never going to get any work done this morning - between Chapter 1 of TSTNE, and the last chapter of Hyphen's Speculum Curse story on Fanfic, work will be something I do after lunch : )

Lori - Chapter 1 is amazing - I really cried when Hermione was explaining how she feels every day - I can't even imagine such a horrible feeling (and I laughed during her little "talk" with laura - thank you for putting something humerous in the middle of the slightly anxiety producing parts).

If you hadn't already disclosed the whole post-quel (aka SEQUAL!) thing, I'd be getting nervous... [3]
