Secrets of a Successful Marriage is a Steve/Tony story by valtyr. It is based off a prompt from the C-IM Secret Santa.
Summary: Tony Stark lives a double life; he's secretly the supervillain known as Iron Man. But his loving husband Steve has a few secrets of his own, as Tony is about to discover.

OMG THISSSSSS! Everything about this is awesome. ♥♥ I love the relationship between Steve and Tony and how they met and how ridiculously sweet and domestic they are together with the fish and stuff and the confusion about their secret identities. The fight scene between them was awesome—I totally laughed at the fact that they were arguing about fish-care while having an epic battle, lol. Also, there was just enough of the ridiculous angst that I love so much. ♥♥ I love the idea of firefighter!Steve too! I really wish there was more of Tony’s and Steve’s backstory of how they met and getting together and their domestic bliss because it just seems like it would be totally charming and romantic and I need more of Pepper being super skeptical of Steve and doing her best to get all the dirt possible on him, lol.[3]
When I started reading this, I wanted to cry. Because I read the summary and I knew that I was going to have a lot of /feelings/, so I almost didn't read it, because it would be Ca vs. Iron Man. But I started reading, for I am a Master Procrastinator, and it just got better and better and really exciting. It had a lot of sweet moments, suspense, it was funny and Pepper was grade-A badass, so. In the end, it was spectacular and I'm really glad I read it. Perfect AU, very in-character and, also, ALL the Steve/Tony feels![4]
Feels: Plot-tastic, fun and a bit of a whirlwind. Comments: Tony’s in over his head, trying to keep all the identities separate, keep it together after learning Steve’s secret, looking like an idiot with Iron Man obviously crushing on Captain America who’s married, all while figuring out how to keep his husband (and their fish) safe. Desperately in love with Steve, he does everything he can to protect him and it’s great to follow his attempts at figuring out how to do that and not end up in jail.[5]
