From the Flyer

We're delighted to present Reunited, our very first Jack/Daniel Slash Anthology zine. Contributing writers include JoaG, jaelith tregarth, babs, Debbi C., devra, Findo and Leviathan, as well as fellow JD-Divas Marcia and Biblio. Most of these extremely talented authors will be familiar to you if you're a member of the Alpha Gate where they are regular and much appreciated story contributors. We're also very pleased and proud that a couple of the writers showcased in Reunited are making their inital foray into zine writing in this zine. We've gathered together a killer collection of great stories for you but don't take my word for it, scroll on down and see for yourself! [1]

Contents

  • Coming Home by JoaG ("Daniel remembers.") (8 pages)
  • Losing The Archaeologist by Jaelith Tregarth ("An unusual A/U story.") (19 pages)
  • All Sad Words by Babs ("After Daniel’s return to the SGC, he and Jack connect.") (20 pages)
  • Fallen Menace by Debi C. ("Daniel is beginning to remember things that happened before his ascension.") (11 pages)
  • The Lesson by Devra ("Daniel discovers the fate of Abydos.") (12 pages)
  • Reaching E’Melot by Marcia ("The Tok’ra High Councilor’s host has a dangerous secret.") (177 pages)
  • Recollections by Findo ("Daniel’s back but won’t take Jack.") (12 pages)
  • Pearls Are For His Eyes by Biblio ("Pearls are considered in some folklore to have power to help people see themselves more clearly.") (122 pages)
  • Triptych by Leviathan ("Three stories from an A/U version of Daniel from three different viewpoints.") (46 pages)

CD Extras

The CD offered the zine in PDF, along with a copy of Adobe Reader program and two fonts which had to be installed on the reader's PC. The CD insert reads:

"In order to enjoy this zine exactly as created the Stargate and Papyrus fonts must be installed in the fonts folder of windows."

The CD also included 3 original songs written by the editor's daughter and son in law.

"The name of the band is 'Life' and their lead singer, guitarist, song writer, arranger, yadda yadda is my son-in-law John Buck. These three songs are from their first album, recorded in their little home studio. The album is currently featured on the Cdbaby.com website, so if you want more info about the group, the album or to hear more of it, check it out here:

The final selection is a cover of a Blind Melon Song, 'Mouth Full of Cavities'. The guitarist is John again, and the singer is his wife, my daughter Alicia.

They're two very talented kids who have aspirations towards rock stardom. Don't know if they're going to realise their dreams or not, but if talent, drive and desire count for anything they've sure got a lot of that. And I'm not above tooting their horn any which way I can."

The final extra is a SG1 songvideo "The Best Thing" edited by MadMackeM.
