Out of the Darkness is a Mulder/Krycek series by Lexi Krycek. The series has three parts.

Summary and Disclaimer
Mulder is subjected to a severe beating and rape approximately three weeks or so before the time frame of this story. This is not a graphic rape story but there are some flashbacks and conversations about the abuse. I'm not a doctor and I don't have a lot of medical information about his condition and treatment. I apologize for this lack of knowledge but this story isn't really about the rape. It's about what happens afterwards. I know Mulder seems to get over the worst of his condition fairly quickly and I'm not trying to minimize the seriousness of such a terrible crime but just forgive me this once. This story doesn't really follow canon and it's definitely AU. Krycek has both of his arms and he will stay that way (no thanks to CC) because this is my little world.Disclaimer: Fox Mulder, Dana Scully and Alex Krycek all belong to Chris Carter and 1013 Productions. Sasha is all mine. Absolutely no money was made from this story. It's all done in fun. FYI - This story will eventually have crossovers with Once a Thief (Games People Play) and Stargate SG-1 (Past Lives).
Recs and Reviews
Warnings: Character is raped off screen so to speak and this story deals with the effects of that rape. The rape is discussed. Also, a warning for violence and child abuse. No Alex didn't rape anyone. Neither did Mulder. Though I'm not going to say whether or not one of the boys might be the victim. Read and see. This series of new stories is quite refreshing for the M/K fandom which hasn't seen anything this good in a few months. It is an enthralling story that comes up with such valid reasons why Mulder might fogive Alex and for their being together you are just shocked no one has thought of writing about it yet. As the warnings state this isn't an easy piece to read. Alot, has happened to some of those near and dear to our hearts. This is about getting over that and trying to heal from the pain. The story is up to 3 parts now and doesn't even try to make out that it could be done so quickly. I fell in love with this series quickly and am eagerly awaiting each new piece as it comes out. I am also falling in love with Lexi's characterizations of the boys and who they are in this universe she has created. There is promise of a crossover with Stargate SG-1 later that I am waiting to see how it fits in and if Lexi can make it work. I just love the Strgate and hope she can work the crossover believably. I am still too stunned by how powerful an effect it has on me to really go into too much about the series. It is still so new and I am still just delighted when I open my e-mail and find a new part posted to the lists. Lexi is geting alot of praise for this rightfully so. I suggest you go and check it out yourself and see what all the fuss is about.[1]
*Out of the darkness* is a fabulous new series by Lexi Krycek. It is one of the best to pass through the lists in a while now and I thought I should definitely rec it.It is just starting out and enfolding beautifully as it goes. The best word I can use to describe it is enthralling. You just get sucked in by the characters and their interactions with each other so completely you don't even realize it is happening. Lexi is a new author and is getting alot of praise for this new series.
As I said it is M/K. The ratings I am not positive about, no sex yet. There are some warnings about a rape happening to one of the characters and no neither Alex or Mulder committed the rape. Not saying whether one of them is the victim or not though. The rape is mentioned, but not depicted blow by blow. There are also warnings as it goes along for violence and discussion of child abuse. It is a piece that definitely puts the characters throught the ringer. It is handled beautifully though. I am always delighted when I open my e-mail to find Lexi has posted a new section to the story. I eagerly wait each one. We are up to part 3 now and no one is rushing he healing of the rape which is a good move. That is a slow process of healing not just physically, but mentally.
There is mention that a crossover with Stargate SG-1 will occur eventually. I am hoping Lexi can fit it in carefully and seamlessly. We'll see. I love Stargate so I hope it is done well.... Hope you enjoy it as it progresses.[2]
A very different M/K with a very good Scully involvement. I've never been too fond of stories that imply that Krycek was abused and used from childhood by the consortium, but this one is different. The wonderful love between Fox and Alex is beautiful to read, especially since we see it through Scully's disbelieving eyes.[3]
