Mulan is the protagonist in the Disney film of the same title and is considered a Disney Princess. She is also a supporting character in the video game, Kingdom Hearts, and recurring character on Once Upon a Time. In Kingdom Hearts and many of the animated Disney works that feature the character she is voiced by Ming-Na Wen.

Canon

Kingdom Hearts

Mulan appears in Kingdom Hearts II in a recreation of the original film's plot and picks up shortly after her first meeting with Mushu. From there, the broad strokes of the movie play out mostly unchanged. However after being rewarded for her bravery by the emperor, she remains in the imperial city rather than return home to her family like in the movie. When Sora and company return to her world, they find her tracking a member of Organization XIII lurking in the mountains. They join her, and soon discover a massive dragon heartless heading for the capital. They arrive and warn the emperor before fighting off the Heartless themselves. After the battle, the emperor offers the heroes rewards for their efforts, and Mulan asks that Shang be allowed to take a vacation so that they can spend time together. Because of Shang's current post guarding the emperor, her request is declined, but the emperor offers her a job serving alongside Shang as an alternative, which she accepts. During the game's end credits, she and Shang spend some quality time alone before catching Yao, Ling, and Chien-Po spying on them.

Once Upon a Time

Mulan appears in the second season of Once Upon a Time where she is helping Prince Phillip find the sleeping Princess Aurora. Aurora accuses Mulan of being in love with Phillip but when Phillip is gone she also falls for Aurora, resolving to confess her feelings to her. However, before she can do so, Aurora tells her she is pregnant with Phillip's child. Mulan, heartbroken, leaves.

Later in the series she meets and travels with Merida and Ruby.
