Magpie_fngrl is a fanwriter who has been mostly active in the Harry Potter and The Raven Cycle fandoms. She writes predominantly slash and explicit works, usually of short to medium length.
Magpie is noted for writing unusual concepts, unique premises or uncommon tropes. These include writing a story with Draco Malfoy as an Incubus; imagining the Mirror of Erised as a portal to another universe; creating the Lust Leaks, accidental magic based on teen hormones with hilarious repercussions; writing reincarnation, a rarely seen trope in Drarry; a flower shop fic with talking flowers; or a gothic romance fic. She's also written a series of drarry AUs in the spring of 2018, which include Royalty AU, an Indiana-Jones style fic, Pirate AU etc.

- Through the Looking Glass and What Draco Found There (2017) Drarry Eighth Year, Mirror of Erised Draco discovers the Mirror of Erised is a portal and he enters an alternate reality where your deepest desires come true. Or how Draco found himself in the world of his dreams and Potter had to come and ruin it.
- The Full Monty (2017) Drarry Harry poses for a naked Auror calendar and Draco goes batshit crazy with lust.
- The Miseducation of Draco Malfoy (2017) Drarry Zacharias Smith writes a tell-all about the D.A. Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy are not happy about it.
- The Unquiet Grave (2017) Drarry Gothic romance. When Malfoy's life is threatened, Harry agrees to work as his bodyguard. Given their recent history, that might be a mistake.
- The Boy Who Died (2020) Drarry Harry dies in the forest. Sixteen years later, he comes back to life. A Voldemort Wins! and Reincarnation Alternate Universe.
One of magpie_fngrl's most notable series is her Drarry AUs series, a selection of 12 fics which were Tumblr prompt fills. They feature AUs such as Historical, Pirate, Royalty, Fae, Flower Shop etc.

Fandom Activity
In March 2020, magpie_fngrl created and ran Lockdown Fest, a non-anon, multi-ship, multi-fandom fest, with fellow authors PalenDrome (Nerdherderette), Tackytiger, and onereader. The aim of the fest was to provide succour, distraction and escapism during a difficult time for everyone.
Magpie has also been active in reccing fics on her tumblr blog [1], especially during 2017-2019. She's taken part in Writcraft's Drarry Under 300 initiative.
